Cancellation – Delon
The Sberatel / Collector fair will celebrate the eightieth birthday of French actor Alain Delon falling upon this year in its Gallery of Classics, i.e. collector´s mailing cards with an original Czech movie poster related to the birthday person. The mailing card is also accompanied by a special cancellation/postmark used only on this day. The “Black Tulip” movie poster for Czechoslovak cinemas was designed in 1967 by painter and graphic artist Josef Vyleťal (1940 – 1989).
The mailing card will be christened by his wife, Olga Poláčková-Vyleťalová, herself a renowned graphic artist. For example, her “Tender One” movie poster received the Grand Prix award at the 1973 Film Festival in Cannes. It is worth mentioning that her poster´s motif also appeared on a post stamp issued by the Czech Post in 2011.
2:30PM – Autograph session of graphic artist Marina Richterová and a presentation of a stamp dedicated to William Shakespeare, which she created for the Vatican Post.

It does not happen very often that a Czech graphic artist is invited to design a stamp for a foreign country. Marina Richterová, graphic artist, painter and illustrator who permanently resides and works in Prague, was offered cooperation by the postal administration of Vatican. The result is a post stamp dedicated to William Shakespeare, which will have its Czech premiere at this year´s Collector fair. The Vatican post stamp will be presented at the Vatican Post stand by its authoress who is renowned for her stamps dedicated to W. A. Mozart and Franz Kafka, which she created for the Czech Post.

Shoe Nails Museum stand in the lobby
The Shoe Nails Museum in Starý Rožmitál (Příbram District) is the only museum in Europe (and probably also in the world) presenting the tough job of shoe nail makers and their workshops.
1:30PM – Christening of a new miniature sheet “Nature Protection – Owls” combined with an autograph session of graphic artists Libuše and Jaromír Knoteks and engraver Martin Srb.

3:00PM – Introduction of new post stamps of the “Czech Cars III” series and an autograph session of their author, Maestro Václav Zapadlík.
At this year´s fair, artist Václav Zapadlík will present new stamps of the Czech Cars series showing the streamlined Škoda Rapid and Škoda 1201 “saloon”, which will conclude the three-part chapter dedicated to Škoda cars.
All previous “car” stamps issued earlier, including the successful “They brought us freedom” block, will also be available at the fair.

12:00AM – Meeting of fans and members of the www.postcrossing.com portal. It will be possible to send a special postcard with a special stamp officially issued by the Czech Post directly from the exhibition site. Hall 6.
Friends and fans of post-crossing who will attend the meeting which will take place on Saturday, September 5, at 12:00AM in the conference room of Hall 6, will have a firsthand opportunity to buy a new Czech post stamp dedicated to post-crossing.

2:00PM (ETA) – An “Air Mail” consignment will arrive to the Letňany Airfield in a renovated Praga E. 114 Air Baby airplane. It will then be transported to the Collector fair by a Praga Super Piccolo vintage car.
The Praga E. 114 Air Baby airplane will take off from the airstrip in Točná and head for the Letňany Airfield situated next to the exhibition site. The driver of the Praga Super Piccolo car will take over the delivery and take it to the fair. The Czech Post has issued a special mailing card (a postcard with a preprinted stamp the author of which is Václav Zapadlík) for the occasion.
1:30 – 4:00PM – Meeting of the Geophila club of geographilatelists. Small room in the lobby.
50 years´ anniversary of the Club of Collectors of Curiosities – an exhibition of top rarities from the members´ collections
The club now has some 700 members and is open to all interested in collecting. It comprises five sections – miniature calendars, models and figures, beer souvenirs, postcards, and cheese labels and stickers.
