This year Swiss Post has also prepared a commemorative postmark for the Collector International Trade Fair, which takes place from 14th to 16th September. This time it is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Swiss Association of Day Care Centres, and is accompanied by the words: Swiss Post: a guest in Prague. The DPR of Korea Postal Services will this year also issue a commemorative postmark for the trade fair for the first time. Cyprus Post traditionally brings postcards to Prague, this time with a floral Cypriot design. So far the following countries' postal services have signed up with official exhibits for this year's jubilee trade fair: Australia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Ireland, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Cyprus, Germany, Slovakia, Serbia (for the first time), Switzerland and the United Nations.

Mints from all over the world traditionally address both collectors and visitors who want to make a good investment with their coinage made of gold and other base metals. This year the following mints will be expecting a lot of interest from visitors: Czech Mint, Kremnica Mint, Austrian Mint, Royal Canadian Mint, the Finnish, Hungarian, Swiss mints and even the Norwegian Mint. The specifics are not yet final as of the end of June.
For the first time at this year’s trade fair, there will be an official stand from the German manufacturer of philatelic and numismatic supplies, Prinz Verlag GmbH of Passau. Prinz has kept its company slogan, “Quality without Compromise” for over 30 years, and its binders, albums, microscopes, UV lamps and other accessories prove this. Their official exclusive representative for the Czech Republic is Ing. Ján Paľovský from Slovfila.
This year visitors to the Collector Trade Fair will be able to admire the exhibition of giant-sized minerals. Well-known collectors and dealers of minerals, Jiří Špalek and Luboš Poděbradský have brought giants weighing up to 70kg from their last expedition to Chinese deposits. At the exhibition they will display large crystals and calcite, manganoan calcite, aragonite, epidote, gypsum, desert rose, dolomite and other mineral samples. Giants, unique for their size and quality, are not only suitable for museums and institutes, but also as decorations for homes and businesses. It is unbelievable what nature can create. After the trade fair is over, the samples will be put on sale.

This year a telephone card is being issued in Hungary to mark the Prague Collector Trade Fair, with a view of the exhibition hall on the front and a panorama of Hradčany on the back. There has already been a puzzle of four cards with Prague’s Astronomical Clock featured on it in the Chinese People’s Republic for the 10th jubilee trade fair (see newsbulletin no. 29). Telephone card dealers and collectors have already signed up for this year’s Collector from Belarus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, China, France, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Greece, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey.

The world association of authors and journalists in philately (AIJP) will again be represented at this year’s trade fair. This organisation unites a number of excellent journalists, who not only cover philately in the professional sense, but are also devoted to promoting it to the public. For example, from the Czech Republic, Miroslav Langhammer is a member, who among other things has published his work, “Philately is More Than Stamps”, with the Pofis Publishing House, aimed at young and beginner philatelists. Foreign members of AIJP, such as Mr Paul Wijnants from Belgium, will also be attending the jubilee trade fair in Prague.
