Application forms were mailed

In the past few days, we have mailed the application forms for the show Collector to all previous exhibitors and also to those who have expressed an interest in participating at this trade fair. The deadline for applications is May 31st, 2010. After this date we are unable to guarantee a spot for exhibitors.

Liechtenstein Post Office for the first time in Prague

Many exhibitors have already confirmed their participation. For example, in the area of philately, we have already registered loyal exhibitors such as Aixphila GmbH and Aix-phila Shop (Briefmarken-und Münzhandel), Biener GmbH Briefmarkenversand, Gerhard Striegel and Kai Wickert from Germany, Erik van Blerk, Bert Brinkman and Wim van der Bijl from the Netherlands, Trevor Pateman and Cover Story from Great Britain etc.
As for the post offices, besides the Czech Post Office, we have confirmed the participation of the post services from Belarus, France, Germany and the United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA). Also, it is confirmed that for the first time in our thirteen year history we will welcome the post service of Liechtenstein at our trade fair. Gradually, we have also started to receive confirmations from domestic exhibitors. Among the first, are Filatelie Podskalský and Filatelia s.r.o., the publisher of the monthly periodical Filatelie.

German company, Emporium Hamburg among the first timers

This year, we expect more exhibitors in the area of numismatics. For instance, the Polish-Dutch company, HanMart, that employs ten people and has millions of items in stock, is enlisted not only in the section of philately but also in the area of numismatics. The Emporium, a well known numismatics company from Hamburg will participate at Collector trade fair for the first time. Emporium has been in business for over 30 years and is considered a reliable partner of the mints and collectors. It sells on both individual and wholesale levels. We also have confirmed participation from numismatics such as Czech Mint, Jindřich Holna, Mojmír Černý, Numis Numismatic salon from the Czech Republic, The Mint of Austria and the Prager company from Austria, Quentin Nicholas - NQN from France, and others. There is also an interest in other areas of collecting. For instance in the area of minerals and precious stones, we can look forward to the Peruanita company, owned by Jaroslav Hyršl, Mineral & Gem Collection of Karel Mařík and the German company Pearla del Mar that, as the name suggests, will offer real pearls and jewelry with opals among other items. A significant portion of exhibitors at The Collector trade fair is represented by the manufacturers of equipment for collectors. We have confirmed the participation of Leuchtturm Albenverlag, Lindner Falzlos, and confirmation from Schaubek Verlag Leipzig is on its way.

The catalogue and the night safe

Remember to advertise in the trade fair's catalogue for special prices. The catalogue will be provided to all visitors for free, and two weeks before the trade fair it will be distributed to all collectors' stores in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. As a novelty, this year we are introducing the night safe, where the exhibitors can store their items overnight for a fee. Detailed information is available upon request.

The Collector trade fair has to be seen abroad

We are trying to acquaint as many domestic and foreign collectors as possible with our trade fair. Based on the thirteen years of the trade fair's history it may seem unnecessary, but the opposite is true. We are advertising in and writing to Czech and foreign collector's magazines and internet portals and visiting all significant international gatherings of collectors. Perhaps in the next few days we will meet at the collectors' trade fairs in Verona or Bratislava, or at the festival of post stamps in London, or the philately trade fairs in Essen and Paris, or the numismatic trade fair in Vienna.

We are advertising in local languages of many European countries, here are samples from Slovenia and Belgium.

Collecting can be used in company marketing

Some companies that have very little to do with collecting have wisely associated the offer of their products or services with the trustworthiness and reliability that collecting represents. The current advertising campaign of the insurance company Kooperativa, a member of the Austrian Vienna Insurance Group is an example. Kooperativa insured the philatelic rarities and other valuable items of the World Stamp Exhibition Praga in 2008 that we organized. We offer the same option to the exhibitors of our established international trade fair Collector.
