After Emporium-Hamburg, Künker for the first time as well

This year's participation of exhibitors in the field of numismatics will be very large. After the firm Emporium-Hamburg, also signing up for the Sběratel collector's trade fair for the first time is the German firm Fritz Rudolf Künker, one of the largest and most important European auction houses and dealers. For over 35 years, its 28 employees have been working to satisfy customers worldwide. Since 1985 it has held renowned numismatic auctions, where it has already auctioned off over 200,000 numismatic items. At its large stand, the firm Künker will welcome anyone interested in its vast assortment of coins and medals dating from antiquity to the present.
Also at the trade fair for the first time will be the Swiss firm 2 Euro Coins, the Czech firm Numismatika Konvitská and others. Naturally, at this year's Sběratel collector's trade fair we will be welcoming such traditional exhibitors as H.D. Rauch, Schoeller Münzhandel, Prager, the Austrian Mint from Vienna, the Kremnica Mint from Slovakia, the Czech Mint, the Czech Numismatic Society and the Czech firms Národní pokladnice, Dukát, Aurea Numismatica, Klim, CMQC Pamětní ražba, Mojmír Černý, Numis Numismatický salon and Koruna Česká. Also attending will be Algis Falkauskas and Zulys Gediminas from Lithuania, Adam Historical Shares, GAP-Weltbanknoten, MDS Münzlogistik and Miloslav Nožka from Germany, HanMart from Poland, the united Chinese mints of the China Gold Coin Incorporation, Masta Trade from Slovenia and many more.

The Sběratel collector's trade fair at the fairgrounds in Bratislava

The organizers of the Prague Sběratel international collector's trade fair will have an exhibition stand at the BZD trade fair at the fairgrounds in the Slovak capital on 4 and 5 June. They will be available both to prospective exhibitors and visitors. Come to our stand for promotional items, note pads, posters and brochures.

Vincennes Philatelie in Prague

This year, one of the most important French philatelic firms, Vincennes Philatelie, will be participating for the first time at the Sběratel collector's trade fair, and in grand style right from the start. Unfortunately, until now not many exhibitors from French-speaking countries have been coming to Prague (other then the French postal service and mint). Might others follow the lead of Mr. Varga in the years to come?

ArGe Tschechoslowakei

Introducing itself for the first time at the Sběratel collector's trade fair will be the philatelic Czechoslovakia Work Group (ArGe Tschechoslowakei), an association of collectors interested in philatelic materials, founded on the territory of former Czechoslovakia within the historical borders effective as of 1 January 1938. While the Work Group is actively part of the German Philatelic Society, it brings together collectors from all over the world, and it even has branches in Denmark and Austria.

Czech Post

For the Sběratel collector's trade fair, Czech Post regularly issues postcards, R-stickers and commemorative cancellation stamps. This year's postcard is a continuation of a series with a dog and a cat, this time in front of Prague's Dancing House. Naturally, the Sběratel collector's trade fair commemorative cancellation stamp will be available for the duration of the trade fair, but the cancellation stamp for United Nations Day will only be available on 4 September. Visitors to the Czech Post stand will also be able to buy new postage stamps being issued on 1 September. The schedule for new issues in 2010 is available at www.cpost.cz/cz/filatelie/znamky-a-celiny/emisni-plan-id327/

The nefarious practises

Some of our exhibitors have again had the dubious pleasure of being contacted by Expo Guide, a firm that seeks to exploit your inattentiveness and trust. Following the lead of the Austrian Construct Data Verlag AG, a company that until two years ago raked in the dough by offering listings in their FAIR Guide catalogue at extortionate rates, Expo Guide, a firm apparently hailing from Mexico (?!), is now attempting the same. They are offering registration in their so-called internet directory www.expo-guide.com on outrageous financial terms and an oppressive contract that is all but impossible to cancel. The worst aspect of the whole affair is, however - and please pay careful attention here - that the order form for registration in their catalogue appears, at first glance, as if it had been sent by us, the organizers of the trade fair. Of course, we are in no way affiliated with the nefarious practices of Expo Guide, we do not know them, and - as all our exhibitors know - we use our own form for listings in the trade fair catalogue (which this year can be found on the back side of the registration form, or at www.sberatel.info).

By Tradition, Last Day is United Nations Day

It has become a cherished tradition starting from the first year's trade fair in 1998 that the last day of the trade fair is declared United Nations Day. In this dignified manner, our trade fair wishes to commemorate the mission of this organization that has been decisively contributing to maintaining world peace. Each year, the UN postal administration issues a postcard, the so-called "white card", on occasion of the Collector trade fair. If you've been collecting them from the beginning, as of this year, you will have a respectable collection of thirteen beautiful UN postcards. At the stand of the UN postal administration, the postcard will be available for sale, and a special postmark is provided. On September 4, the Czech Post will also cancel postcards and letters with a special United Nations Day postmark
