• You will be able to see the famous “Blue Album” of Freddie Mercury during the two days of the spring Sberatel / Collector fair. As a matter of fact, only a few people know that the famous vocalist of The Queen was also a stamp collector. As the album also contains  stamps of the former Czechoslovakia, it will be all the more interesting for domestic visitors. The album has been made available for the event by the British Post Museum which is its present owner. It will also be possible to buy a commemorative postcard issued for the occasion in a limited number of 500 pieces – either at the Information Stand, or at Stand No. 65. 

 

Freddie Mercury has appeared on post stamps all around the world, but, for example, also on popular “€ 0” souvenir banknotes. (It will be possible to buy them in limited quantities at, for example, Stand No. 65,

• You will be able to see the first-ever gold payment cards issued in two limited editions – Black & Gold – at the springtime Collector fair on the stand of the Museum of Securities. They were issued last year by Banka CREDITAS in cooperation with MasterCard under the brand name Real Gold. The exclusive card was produced in a limited number and the bank was offering it to its VIP clients. It is the first such payment cards not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Europe.

 

You will have the first-ever opportunity to buy a new “€ 0” souvenir banknote with a motif of Leonardo da Vinci for 2 euros from an ATM located directly in the hall hosting the event.

• You will be able to buy a complete portfolio of Czech post stamps at a nominal price on the stand of Czech Post.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A new series of collector´s banknotes commemorating and paying a tribute to the genius of Václav Zapadlík (1943 – 2018), a prominent graphic artist and the author of thousands of drawings of automobiles and motorcycles, will be presented for the first time during the fair. There will be altogether 12 banknotes, two per year, issued on the occasion of the spring and autumn Collector fairs. Zapadlík´s cars appeared for the first time on stamps of Czech Post, which issued them in two series, “World´s automobiles” and “Czech automobiles”.The motif of the first of the banknotes is the 1933 Duesenberg SJ. The banknote´s nominal value is one hundred “collector´s Korunas”. The banknote contains a total of seventeen protection features and its price will be  CZK 200 ( EUR 8).

 

 

 

 

 

“0 eurosuvenir banknote” “Leonardo da Vinci” premiered at the Spring Sberatel Fair! For EUR 2 you can withdraw it directly from the ATM, which is located in the hall at table 40.

 

 

 

 

 

And if you are planning to go to Prague for the springtime Sberatel / Collector fair, consider yourself lucky! There is a parallel exhibition on the premises of the Prague Castle, which maps the centennial anniversary of the Czech currency. The highlight of the exhibition of Czech and Czechoslovak coins and banknotes is the world´s second largest gold coin worth CZK 100 million and officially issued by the Czech National Bank (More information here). You can also visit an exhibition hosted by the Post Museum, which presents graphic designs of Czech post stamps from the 1918 – 2018 period, where you can see, for example, the design of the first Czechoslovak stamp created by painter Alfons Mucha.
