“Airmail” will travel from the SBERATEL / COLLECTOR fair to Letňany Airport Day

On Saturday, 5 September, the second day of the SBERATEL / COLLECTOR fair, Letňany Airport Day will take place at the airport located directly next to the PVA EXPO Prague exhibition centre. Visitors will be able to see dozens of aircraft of different types and ages. A special “airmail” service will connect the airport event with the SBERATEL / COLLECTOR fair. During the fair, visitors can place postcards and letters in a special postbox. These items will then be carried on a circular flight by one of the most beautiful Czechoslovak aircraft, the L-200 Morava. This aircraft was produced during the 1960s at the Let Kunovice factory. The aircraft carrying the airmail from SBERATEL / COLLECTOR also has a unique history. It is one of two aircraft that took part in the North Pole Expedition 2008. After the flight, the postal items will receive special cancellation. A themed postage stamp with a personalised coupon will also be available for purchase.
